As an outdoor adventurer I am always dreaming about my next trip. I love the research and trying to figure out logistics and nothing beats filling in the blanks on a map.
This is a purely subjective list of what I consider to be 15 bucketlist worthy multi-day hikes to do around the world. I’ve done many but not all of them.
1. ARCTIC CIRCLE TRAIL, GREENLAND
Distance: 160 kilometres
Time Needed: 9 – 11 days
Best Time to Go: June to September but beware of bugs early in the season, cooler temperatures and overnight snow later in the season
Why you want to go: Hike from Kangerlussuaq to Sisimiut and stay in eight simple huts along the trail. The reward is unspoiled wilderness in a land of 100 lakes. Nature photographers will love it for the vegetation, reindeer and Arctic fox.
